Hey Roomies!

I bought burton escapades to go perfectly with a burton lipstick - totally loved riding this set up as it felt perfect (at first). I've just had a week's boarding in France and then in Bulgaria, so I've done a few days very recently, the issue I have is that when getting off the gondola, after coming off piste - or even getting off the lift, I go to strap my bindings in and the dial had moved from 15/15 to something obscure like 10/20 or 10/10 in one instance!! A few of the days I'd had my ankles felt really uncomfortable and I realised the bindings have moved around!

Have any of you guys had an experience like this with Escapades? I'm so gutted as when they keep their position the set up is awesome, but I'm slightly disheartened at this and also plays in the back of your mind when boarding :(

Thanks in advance

I've done the Escapade EST/Lipstick combo before and I've never had an issue with my angles changing.

First I would make sure that the 2 screws that hold the bindings on to the board are nice and tight. Since you have only 2 fasteners, if they are at all loose your bindings could move.

If they are and you still have this issue then I would contact Burton as this is an issue with either the board or the bindings.

Thanks for that - I ensured they were super tight, but it got to a stage later in the holiday i took out a screwdriver with me and after a couple of runs, had to alter the angle back and re-tighten (got my other half to re-re-tighten).

Pain in the ass though, as it's an amazing set up, was really happy with it :( I hear Burton have a great customer service so hope I can get this sorted out!

Hi

Did you ever get your bindings sorted out?

I am having the exact same problem with my Escape bindings - the back binding keeps changing it's angle every run. I have tried everything and I can't get it to stay put. It also seems to drift forward and backward. The screws are super tight, and I have had 3 different people tighten them. It's getting to the point where I want to get different bindings!!

hey,

i have last seasons escapade bindings and ive not experienced any problems at all with them.

May be an obvious question but you are using all four screws on each binding when attaching the binding to your board ?
